lyrics

SOMETIMES IT'S BETTER NOT TO DIE

You stumble through the jungle leaning on your telephone
You feel a bit confused drinking on your own
Your coat all ragged and your heart as cold as stone
You walk the black streets home

You find yourself asleep, but your eyes are open wide
To find out in the morning that you just learned how to fly
With a one way ticket to heaven up high
Sometimes it's better not to die

You wish you could feel all you wanna feel
But the roads you roam are made of stone
You find yourself scratching 'FUCK' on the windshield
And you walk the black streets home

The road is long and narrow and all your friends are too
But there's a silver shaddow across the sky
And both me and you we know plenty of things to do
Sometimes it's better not to die

You're wearing your hat to have your actions reconciled
To words that keep appearing as a big blur, they don't rhyme
Your voice sings as if you drank six bottles of wine
Somtimes it's better not to die
You feel you could run straight into the night
You can hear your doggie barking, do you wanna be my wife
Feels like a dream, but you’re definitely alive
Somtimes it's better not to die

about

Erny Green Utrecht, Netherlands
